We joined forces nearly four years ago when my first and her second were due at the same time. Emma had been a constant customer at my Flower shop for about 10 years prior to that but we didnt really establish out friendship til we were both in the same boat, so to speak. As she was on her second go, I clung on to Emma for words of wisdom and support. Sadly, as is the case with most of us she had forgotten most of it and said she felt as though she too was starting over, although the sleepless nights were still a stable fixture in her memory. So we clung to each other, I dont know who was more scared, me as a first timer or Emma who sort of knew what was coming. Well thats where it all started.....back went the standard mattress that Id bought and back went the multi pack starter sheet packs and in came the organics...at the time I have to admit I didnt really know why but it sounded good I got them cost and the packaging was really pretty, and they did look very wholesome, so I was sold. The years went by and Emma and I remained close friends, sharing baby tips and baby frustrations. Emma choosing to stay at home with her Girls and me back to the Flowershop. The years went by and with our kids now 6yrs and 4 yrs, Emma and I wondered what was next for us. As it would happen my sisters life started to take on a new direction and she and her business partner were looking to sell. I had grown to love the business they had started and all the products they had sourced so when she approached me to see if I was interested in buying it, I nearly bit her hand off. With her girls about to embark on their new journey of school, Emma was looking for a new direction and as she had been such a constant in my baby years and with a background in retail, she was my obvious choice as a partner....she loved the idea and here we are. Ours has been a real journey of discovery and love.
